Big enough to carry everything he needs for work and play--a big general cargo area, but also assorted slots and pockets for smaller items; and after working an outdoor job this summer, he especially liked the pocket that held his lunch and an ice pack. Material is a very strong cloth (maybe canvas?) that looks sharp but also durable. This bag looks like it should stand up to daily use and still be functional (and look good) a long time.
